The Mulberry Tree: The Perfect Beginner’s Tree

The Mulberry Tree: The Perfect Beginner’s Tree

If you are a novice at gardening, the mulberry tree is an excellent choice for you. These trees are extremely easy to grow, hard to kill, and require little water. They yield its crop usually within a year or two and provide refreshing shade for those in hotter climates like Florida, and its leaves are edible.

A Land of Delight Natural Farm & Nursery carries a wide variety of delicious fruit trees, including the mulberry tree. Mulberries look and taste a lot like blackberries and are high in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin K1, potassium, and vitamin E. The mulberry is rich in iron and may aid in curing symptoms of anemia. It is also a good source of vitamin C, protects against toxic free radicals, helps in lowering cholesterol and improving blood sugar, and may reduce the risk of cancer.

Whether you have two green thumbs or know nothing at all about plants, A Land of Delight has what you need. Stop by our family-run farm, and one of our friendly volunteers or associates would love to help you.
