Sweet Potato Casserole is a thanksgiving staple. But did you know it doesn’t have to be full of processed sugars?
Try this recipe instead…
*most honeys at the big box stores are full of corn syrup so make sure you use raw local honey… like ours 😉
▢ 4 -5 sweet potatoes
▢ 1/4 cup ALOD honey
▢ 1 non-gmo fed pasture raised ALOD egg
▢ 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
▢ 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
▢ 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
▢ 1/4 teaspoon salt
▢ 4 tablespoons maple syrup
▢ 1/2 cup pecans , chopped
BOIL the potatoes for 20 minutes, drain, & add back to the pot.
MIX the honey, egg, spices, salt & 2 tbsp maple syrup in a separate bowl.
MASH the sweet potatoes & STIR in the wet mixture.
BUTTER the pan & add the casserole mixture.
COAT pecans with the remaining maple syrup & sprinkle on top.
BAKE uncovered at 350F for 40 min.
