Hooray Time for Fall Planting

Hooray Time for Fall Planting

Great news! From grapefruits to lemons, limes, and oranges, many gardeners grow a variety of citrus fruits successfully and many prefer planting in the fall to give their trees plenty of time over the winter to develop a strong root system. Trees also require less water in the colder months and less watering is always a plus.
Fall is also one of the best times to start a vegetable garden. Excellent fall plants to grow include: broccoli, beans, sprouts, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, peas, bean gourds, pumpkins, squash, zucchini, lettuces, and sunflowers. A Land of Delight Natural Farm & Nursery has everything you need to make that happen.
Check us out during market hours Thursday or Friday from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. or Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also schedule a private appointment to look at our fruit trees with one of our fruit tree specialists.
Happy fall planting!
