You know the smell after it’s been raining?
![☔️](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t10/1/16/2614.png)
Humans around the world are proven to react positively to it.
The scent is created by Streptomyces, a bacteria found in almost all healthy soil.
When rain hits the ground, Streptomyces uses it to release a molecule called geosmin.
And our noses love geosmin.
It’s actually used as an ingredient in many perfumes.
