Ways to Care for Tropical Trees and Younger Fruit Trees During Cold Weather:
- Mulch around the base of the trees (but not directly against the truck) to retain soil moisture and regulate temperature.
- Cover tropical trees and younger trees with plant covers.
- Group plants together.
- If possible, move more sensitive tropical plants indoors or to a greenhouse.
- Make sure plants still getting adequate sunlight.
